theism-Belief in the existence of a God

If you are an atheist ..you may start laughing after reading this post,so please don't continue. By this you might have understood Iam an theist,yes Iam. These beleives became stronger when I was in 6th class, our school( I was in residential school from 6th to 10th) used to be just beside ( 12 m ) from a temple of Lord Venkateshwara .
A priest in that temple was very much interested in learning english and there were only 3 boys from english medium in our school ( our's was the first batch ) , one among of the other two boys SriKanth was my best friend. So, that pujari approached us and soon became very good friend of us. He used to tell many stories about hindu mythology and truths and believes of hindu religion.They were very interesting ..
One day I lost my pen. This pen was one of the pen my father got as a gift.He got a set of ink pen and ball pen , I had a 'habit' of loosing pens .so, my sister didn't want me to take that pen. I put senti and asked to give one chance and I shall prove that I can be careful , she felt pity and gave that pen to me. Now I lost it .It was gold color and very nice to see and write . I found it lost in the evening after sports and searched for two hours ,didn't find it.I couldn't go to mess ,I was almost crying, finally gaveup .Those day I had a good habit of reciting some slokhas after bathing in the morning , so , that day while sleeping I recited them and started chanting Lord Venkateshwara till I slept. Next day morning I was very hungry then I realised what happened the previous night, and mechanically i looked at my raincoat hanging to my cart. I checked in it and the pen was inside that, how did I missed searching it ? ,I don't say it wasn't there yesterday night and God came and kept it there but I forgot to search that ,I feel Venkateshwara helped me to search that.
This is not the first last time it happened, from that it happened some 'n' times ( 10< n < 20 ). One more incident I remember well is the our school camera. No ! I didn't loose the camera but the cap used to close the lens ( I don't know what exactly it is called ) . Our art sir gave me the camera as he was going out and told me to take the snaps on "hindi diwas ".It was a canon professional camera ( Rs. 17000 at that time ...10 yrs back) , I was very busy showing off with that camera and I lost that cap . while I was keeping it back in the art room ,I found that cap lost, again searched every where.. didn't eat ...same story .this time next day morining I went near the stage and found it at one try ,within few seconds,it was safe lying there.
Few of my friends even believe I have super natural powers. Yes ,promise !!! .Even I feel it sometimes.may be everyone has it. I was able to tell when his paper is going to come when the teacher was giving papers in random,I don't know how .but I was able to feel . I think we call it sixth sense , but it was working most of the time with almost 70 to 80 % accuracy..ok this is something irrelevant to the topic we are discussing.
After coming out of the school I didn't had many experiences regarding the God and all...but one day I was watching TV ..there were telling about a place in tamil nadu ..where they will tell your name seeying your face and using very old books ( books of copper leaves ) they will tell about your family etc., I don't remember if they can tell your future. This really amused me ..but I didn't had time to think much about that ( JEE preparation ).I didn't get into JEE mains ..and I was repeating, one day my mother came in the evening with some printed papers.She said it is our horoscope , mine and my sister's .We read that they told my sister is going to get married very soon we laughed at that , we didn't even had any idea about her mearriage in the very near future , and they told I will study yantrika shaastram ( mechanical engineering).Iam serious... they told that . I didn't had much faith in that at that min. They suggested to do some big yagnam or something like that ( I don't remember what exactly they told ) calling their priests and the fee is some 'n' thousands of rupees ( 5 < n < 10 ). Me and my sister concluded it as bogus, but my mother told it is very famous and its true ( she accepted that yagnam as cheating ). its also written that I should recite "om nama shivaya " 108 times every saturday ( but monday is supposed to be the day for lord Shiva nah ! why did they say like that , I don't know ) .Some thing similar to my sister ,it is to be done for few weeks .. they mentioned the number too..
My sister and I started . She did regularly and counted how many weeks she did and stopped it.
My sister got married exactly the time they told ( after two months) ,then i started believing that and concluded i won't get into IIT ( IIT mechanical was almost impossible at that time )..see what a horoscope can do to people with less self-confidence ..
My case I did but did not counted, I don't know when to stop ..and it continued untill I came here to IIT I did not do here ( I strongly believe this is the reason for my failure in IIT ) I started doing this again from second year onwards. I still do it .I got into mechanical engg in IIT M. But the horoscope when seen when I was born says I will become a businessman and will be a late marriage ( so peace ..I got lot of time to settle )..,.. noe in IIT ....
We had CAD class every saturday 9'O clock, that day I woke up late and couldn't do puja and directly went to lab.When I returned I was very very hungry that I had the lunch ( I usually don't even have a drop of water before pooja on saturday) . Now the consequences..next week I lost my ICICI atm card, broke my SBM ATM card , had to spent whole week without a single paise ( very difficult ) and many other small problems which I don't remember.
yesterday I had lunch without pooja !!!( that too chicken manchuriya) .After coming from mess a half-an-hour later I relized the disaster ( i already have many problems ...quizes,presentations,mouth ulcers ,mech website ,,..,,..) now whats going to happen this week.
I thought to compensate this by going to temple in the evening.I kept water heater to take bath.power gone ...then came but with very low voltage not enough for the heater.I felt the punishment ,may be I have to bath with cold water,when I went to the bathroom ..power came ( after all God is not that cruel ). I had bath with hot water and was ready to go to temple, now what !! will the temple be open at this time ( 8:00 night ) ,pleaded God atleast let the gates be open , on the way to temple( ..that narrow path if you are from IITM) four girls were going and I was trying to figure out what language they are speaking ( they were telugu girls )and I was not aware of the surroundings much, when I reached the temple ...shock !!!
there were some 40 vehicles bikes cycles etc., went into the temple ..there was a big queue to take the harathi..I never saw so many junta in that temple ..not even on a festival day. I also joined the queue , after the harathi junta left for prasadham ..then i chanted the devine words 108 times and took the 'kumkuma' and came to the hostel .
now analize.... did God wanted me to visit his temple on that auspicious time or was it luck, does this mean there won't be the effect of my forgetfulness ( rather carelessness) ..wait and see..
