Job Description
This role is the functional business analyst for Corporate BCS Consolidations team on the SAP global implementation project. This individual would participate in the execution of functional / process design, construction, integration testing, data conversion and implementation activities related to the BCS module. This role is responsible for effectively integrating the work and the design of the BCS team with other teams.
Responsibilities:
This is a key role in the organization that ensures the integrity of corporate consolidations system using the BCS tool in SAP
• Reviews design and test documents for BCS currently being implemented and produces design, unit test, integration test and user acceptance test scripts• Assists the accounting staff in training and testing and follows up on data reconciliation and sign-off• Identifies opportunities for design improvements and communicates them to the implementation team in a collaborative fashion• Monitors change requests for consolidations, evaluates business impact of various options and prepares change impact assessment documentation for presentation to the change control board• Assists in documenting the period-closing process and ensures that the process complies with control best practices based on peer review and feedback• Assists in roll-out of the BCS US GAAP solution to other locations• Provides support for production support ticket escalation issues as appropriate
Qualifications
Required • 4 year college degree preferably in Accounting or Business• Accounting certification would be ideal• 5+ years of SAP functional (FICO) experience • Ability to think process across modules and systems• Minimum of 2 full implementations of BCS including solid BW knowledge and skills• Experience in global projects with multiple SAP systems would be ideal• Excellent documentation and communication skills• Proficiency in Windows and MS Office products – Excel/Access skills for analyzing large volumes of data for comparing
